At Quality Metal Fabricators Ltd. (QMF), we want everyone to be able to use our website and work with us, including people with disabilities. We treat people with dignity and respect, and we aim to remove barriers in how we share information and provide our services.

We follow Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Our goal is for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This goes beyond Ontario’s requirement of WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

• Built the site so it works with a keyboard, including a “Skip to main content” link
• Used clear headings and page titles so pages are easy to scan and navigate
• Made the site work on phones and when zoomed in, without scrolling sideways
• Kept motion to a minimum and respected the “reduce motion” setting on your device
• Included our address as text next to the map on our Contact page
• Tested the site with automated tools and by hand before launch (keep only once the keyboard and screen-reader test is done)

We are still working on some parts of our site:

If something on our site doesn’t work for you, please tell us. We will help you get the information another way.

You can ask for any information on this website in an accessible format, such as large print, an accessible PDF or Word file, or plain text. We can also offer communication supports, like phone or email instead of a form.

We will provide it as quickly as we can, and there is no extra cost. We will work with you to find a format that meets your needs.

If you visit our facility:

• Service animals are welcome in the areas open to visitors. For safety reasons, they may not be allowed on the shop floor. If so, we will offer another way to meet with you.
• Support persons are welcome to come with you. There is no fee.
• Service disruptions: If something that people with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, such as an accessible entrance, we will post a notice at our entrance and on this website. The notice will say why, how long it will last and what other options are available.
